Interesting.
For good or for bad China had a reputation for copying. The Japanese did the same many decades ago but had since emerged innovative. Can China emerge the same?
CFMoto from Zhejiang China is our focus company with that interesting logo.
It is said that a company’s logo encapsulate the essense of a company. Looking at just the logo will gives you an idea of the products you will find.
Can you identify which part comes from which? Or are we placing too much premium on uniqueness?
How can a China company shake off the copy cat image and emerge as the BMW of the East?
My suggestion: start with the logo.

Interestingly, I just looked up CFMOTO’s official website:
http://www.cfmoto.cn/
its logo is not the one you showed here, and has no fraction like either BMW or BENZ or any other motor manufacturer’s logo as you mentioned.
If you really have a negative value towards this brand, why don’t prove your point with fact? have you even tried its product? if not, how convincing your comment can be?
I believe that was the original logo.
You can see the New Logo w/ a CF embelished at http://www.cfmoto-us.com
I own a CFMOTO V3 as you have pictured above. I love my ride. I’m a new rider and did not want to shift & this has worked perfect for me.
I have found many upgrades for my V3 and I think I am ready for more speed. So far I have found Big Bore Kit, Performance CDI, Performance Exhause, Clutch Kit and I am sure there is more out there. I really don’t know what all of this will do for my bike – so I am going to do a little more research. I found most of this with a company called MRP.
Anyway, don’t knock it ’til you try it. I love my V3 – just hope CFMOTO comes out with something bigger sooner with 2 wheels!!
Weird thing is when I first saw the V3 and I saw the old Logo, I was convinced I was looking at a BMW bike. SO yes, but they got my attention. Then I looked at the V5. (Legacy) another awesome bike , but this one did not have the logo.
Susan is right, The logo is an older one, no longer in use. Well, let me put it this way, that little copy-cat logo got my attention. So much that I ended up buying the V5, as did my girlfriend. We bought it under the name QLINK (official dealer of CF-Moto) but still, nothing copy-cat about the bike.
Actually, I put on the MRP exhaust, The HA-2586 K&N and the Iridium spark plug and I have only gotten questions and praises.
Wow, What bike is that.
I love my V5, and Susan, you will be happy to know that CF-Moto is working on a bigger bore CVT bike.
Copy-Cat…No more if ever.
