Exploring Motorcycle blogs

Motorcycle Bloggers InternationalNot too long ago, Motorcycle Bloggers International (MBI) was launched.

Since then, a number of interesting motorcycle bloggers had joined. I haven’t have the time to visit them .

In the next few days I will pay them a visit and make some introductions.

Unfortunately many of them blog with Blogger (blogspot) which is access restricted from within China. So that leaves me with fewer members to visit.
Watch out!

Motorcycle Blog: WorldRider

Taking a break from manufacturer visiting to go Motorcycle Touring.

Motorcycle Touring is something that I had always wanted to do. Riding the bike, seeing the world. Now that’s stuff a real dream is made of.

Unfortunately, while I’m staying in a perfect country for touring, I do not have the cash (and thus time) to do so. As I get older, the hope diminishes. Still see people like Dale and Doug gives me hope. There is still time yet.

World Rider

Ride over to World Rider where Allan Karl is recording his trips around the world. He also tracks other riders and recording their round the world trips.

The photos are simply awesome. Don’t they make you want to go a trip yourself?

Unfortunately Allan met with an accident and is now recovering.

I am praying for a speedy recovery for him so that he can complete his trip and we can read about them.

Get well soon.

Motorcycle Bloggers International lanuched!

Motorcycle Bloggers International Motorcycle Bloggers International, a project by a bunch of motorcyclists and blogger finally launched yesterday.

The group had been working on this project covertly over the last month or so. It was great fun and excellent learning experience working with a group of so diverse and talented. (More about this in coming posts.)

If you are dropping by for the first time from MBI welcome!

the motorcycle diaries

Search “Motorcycle” on Blogger search and you will find top on the list, the motorcycle diaries.

If you think it’s about motorcycle, you will be sadly disappointed.

Except for the word motorcycle in the title, love for the open road, and The Motorcycle Diaries mentioned somewhere. They are as remote from motrocycle as the east is to the west.

If you are from Singapore, you might make sense of the conversation. Enjoy the ride girls! It is the journey not the destination.

Tim Kreitz’s The Superbike Blog

Are you into motorcycle racing and Superbike? You might want to check out Tim Kreitz’s The Superbike Blog.

It is a pity that here in China, blogspot.com is blocked. Yes, I cannot access any site on blogspot, normally. Of course there are ways around and so I’m able to visit some good motorcycles blog there and learn a thing or two.

The Superbike Blog

Tim is a Kawasaki nut and know his bike stuff especially when it comes to superbikes. Read his review of RV1000 from Roehr Motorcycles, a company I had not heard before.

He is also a riding instructor ,so you get insight from his accident and have him shaking his head at neophyte riders onoutrageously powerful machines.

If you are a new superbike riders, you will also find his tips useful.

Till we ride again.

Return of the Cafe Racers

How serendipitous is the web?

I just did a post on Triumph and Norton. Two days later I was introduced to Geoff’s Return of the Cafe Racers which focuses on such bike as the Norton Commando 961 and the Triumph Thruxton 900.

It is also the first time I had heard of the term cafe racers. What exactly is a cafe racer?

Hint: It is a type of motorcycle as well as a type of motorcyclist. Find out more from Wikipedia.
