Chang Jiang Motorworks

Chang Jiang Motorworks is a China motorcycle manufacturer that produces the famed Chang Jiang 750.

The Chang Jiang 750 or CJ750 is typically fitted with a sidecar. Used formerly by the military, the bike had over the years gained a good number of following and fans. In China it is one of the few (only?) big capacity motorcycle that is legal on the road.

In 1998, Carla King took the CJ750 from Beijing to Inner Mongolia.

Sherco is a French motorcycle manufacturer founded in 1998 by Marc Teissier.

The company specialised in off-road motorcycles and is best known for their trials bikes, although they also make enduro and supermotard bikes.

Sherco has factories in Nimes, France and Caldes de Montbui, Spain. The Caldes de Montbui factory is dedicated completely to trials bikes while the France factory produces enduro bikes.

SYM has 3 major production bases – in Taiwan, China and Vietnam. Its subsidiary in Xiamen China, is Xia Mein Xiashing Motorcycle Co., Ltd. and the Vietnam subsidiary in Hoa Dong Nai is Vietnam Manufacturing & Export Processing Co., Ltd. (VMEP).

In January 2006, SYM purchase of 11% of Kinetic motor company of India. SYM plans to start producing and selling 50-250cc capacity SYM brand scooters in India through the widely established Kinetic sales, distribution, and service network.

MBKMBK is a French company based in Rouvroy. Started as Motobecane and Mobylette, it became known as MBK since 1984.

Established in 1923, Motobecane was a French manufacturer of bicycles, mopeds, motorcycles, and other small vehicles. In 1981, Motobecane filed for bankruptcy, and was subsequently purchased by Yamaha and reformed in 1984 as MBK.

The French company continues to make motorscooters, and has no relation to MotobecaneUSA, which imports bicycles from Taiwan and China, manufactured to their specification under the Motobecane trademark.
