While researching Lifan, the name Loncin turns up. According to the information source, Loncin is second after Lifan in terms of export quantity in 2004. The company is also based in Chongqin.

Production capacity per year is 1.5 million motorcycles. Motorcycles are exported to the UK, the US, Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines, Iran, Nigeria, South Africa and Argentina.

For such a big company, they sure have a small web foot print. The unimpressive website is just a corporate profile hosted by online B2B marketplace GlobalSources.

Zongshen Motorcycle Group (宗申产业集团) is another motorcycle manufacturer in Chongqin (Lifan is also in Chongqin).

Among Chinese motorcycle manufacturers, it is interesting to note that Zhongshen Motor has a MotoGP team. Are they the only one?

Lifan (力帆集团) is a Chinese motorcycle manufacturer based in Chongqing (重庆). In 14 years since founded in 1992, the Lifan Group has become a Chinese top 500 company and top in motorcycle export.

Lifan and Honda are locked in trademark disagreement. When you arrive at their website, you will get a pop up with a letter from the company detailing the case.

If you remember, I posted about this blog receiving a lot of search interest on Chinese motorcycle manufacturers. As a result I am digging up more information about motorcycle in China.

According to a post on the Shanghai Motorcycle Group, Lifan, Sundiro, Jincheng, Xingfu, Zongshen are the major motorcycle manufacturers in China.

We took a look at Jincheng a while back. Coming up, we will take turns to look at the others.
